Just got one NIB and she's a sweet piece!Paid $360 for her and she's nicely accurate, reliable and light recoiling.Anyone else out there got one?Any problems?General opinions?I'm planning to reload for her and am curious to know what kind of velocity increase I can expect over handgun levels. Can you shoot CCI Blazers ( aluminum cased)in these rifles?Bought her for fun as well as home defense. Most likely superb in both applications...

Well, I've never shot any in mine; I have a case of Fiochi to shoot up. But I can't imagine a reason why you couldn't run CCI Blazers thru it. They're just standard 9mm rounds.

I've been shooting mine since 1986 with Blazers and any el-cheapo ammo I come upon!
It is one fun little carbine!

I just got one recently too. What magazines will work in them?

The Marlin Camp 9 will take the SW 59 series magazines.

I have both the Camp 9 and the Camp 45...

Bought a M9 in the late '80s and it has been at my father's for about 15 years. I got a hold of it last weekend and took it shooting.

After about 10 rounds I noticed some crud falling out from around the trigger. ( Ends up it was shattered fragments of the buffer.) As I was removing the action from the stock, the hammer strut, with it's spring and bridge fell out. The bridge is bent and one of the tabs broke off.

I ordered new parts, and they are on the way, but I don't know how it goes back together. Does anyone by chance have a picture or an explanation of how these 3 parts go back into the gun?

Thanks,

Eric

Right...parts 27, 28, and 29. I have that breakdown . Can't really tell where they go in there from that picture.

For velocity you should see about a 200-300fps increase depending on the load. I would no recommend trying to hotrod it at all, stick with the regular load info and your good to go. I like the Rainer 124HP as a basic load. Out of pistols its not real dynamic but with the extra speed out of the rifle its a poor mans gold dot.

Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.

I've never owned a Marlin 9 but seeing this thread reminded me of a customer I had at the first gun shop I worked at in the '80s-'90s who hunted deer with one. I remember thinking he was nuts but he claimed it was sudden death on deer at woods ranges. He used the old Winchester 95 gr JSP load.

I HAVE THE 45 AND LOVE IT! IT STAYS IN THE TRUCK AT ALL TIMES. MY SON HAS KILLED SEVERAL DEER WITH THIS GUN AND A TASCO RED DOT. JUST DON'T USE ANY HOME DEFENSE AMMO WHEN USING THEM ON WHITETAILS. MY MISTAKE. I EVEN BOUGHT SOME 1911 15 ROUND MAGS JUST FOR FUN!! I'D REALLY LIKE TO FIND ANOTHER STOCK FOR IT. SOMETHING IN A BLACK COMPOSITE. HAVE FUN SHOOTING!!

I have one of those (.45acp too) and really enjoy it.
installed a BlackJack buffer and heavier recoil spring to keep it from flinging brass into next county.
