here she is, complete with a handload of 38.5 grains of h4895 and a 200 grain remmy.
my friend just had to refinish the stocks. he did a fine job for a hunting rifle.

the butt does have nice graining tho.

i put a 2-7 luppy on her, and now can't wait to see how the handloads shoot.
so, whatta ya'll think ?

maybe a cow elk this year !! (fingers crossed)

I have two 35's and wouldn't mind one in a bolt, not sure why.

You've got all the right stuff there. Good effort!

I've got a 336 35LTD that is really nice to carry. Haven't taken anything with it yet, but I'll try to get it out a few times next season.

I could like one in a bolt as well. It's a neat round. Didn't Rem offer a .35 Rem in a Mod 7 at one time? Maybe it was a custom shop offering.

They did offer it in the mannlicher model 7 from the custom shop.

They chambered it in the 600/660 as well. They are rightfully regarded as treasures now.

Great looking .35 there, Splattermatic. The last pic kinda looks like there is glitter in the finish on the stock though. I am sure it is just a reflection.

There were a few Remington 600's made in 35 Remington too.

I have 2 Marlin 336's in 35 Remington, and a Remington 760 in 35 Remington. I'm going to load H4895 with a 200 gr bullet, but I'm going to go to 40.0 or 40.5 gr. I hope to get 2250 fps. The action is strong enough to handle it.

My 336 handles that load very well. 41 grs. is all that I can get in the 35 Rem case and that is a much compressed load.

i loaded 39.5 grains of varget under the 200 grain remmy and this is how it shot.
1st 3 went into an inch, adjusted, and the next 2 at 100 yards.
the wind was blowing pretty good left to right, so maybe on a calmer day, it may shoot better.
i do find it satisfactory, so i'm going to load em up and use as is.
book says 2138 fps.

Splattermatic looks good!
Looks just like the one I re-did and hunt with....If your going to put sling swivels on it you might whant to do what I did...I called marlin a orderd the forarm ring with the sling stud on the bottom of it like the new 336's have on them it will fit your gun,I never liked the sling stud set-up on the magazine tube. Just a thought.
