Back 50 yrs ago when I was a kid I won a Mossberg 400 lever action .22 thru an ad they ran in Popular Mechanics. I still have the rifle and shoot it when I have time. One day I hope to buy a Model 402 Palomino to match it. Any other mossberg lever users out there?

No, but I wouldn't mind finding a Palomino. I've lusted for one since a friend of mine when I was a kid got one...

Did Mossberg ever manufacture a Palamino in .22 Mag? That would be a gun to kill for!

The 402 did have factory sling swivels and, I want to recall, a factory saddle ring. I never thought of a 400 in .22WMR but it's a GREAT IDEA.

There's been a used Mossberg on the rack of a local pusher for a looong time. I never picked it up for examination, but I think it's a Palomino, IIRC. The shop/ Al (owner) regularly does telephone/internet sales: http://dlshootingsupplies.com/.
It ain't no fun, when the rabbit's got the gun

They are nice little rifles as long as you work the lever with some authority when ejecting or chambering a cartridge. My brother had one that got burnt up in a house fire.
