Hi Guys, Anyone put a receiver sight on one of their 22 lever actions and how do you like it? Which brand do you recommend?I just bought a really nice 39M from another Campfire member and it's such a nice little rifle I hate to anchor it down with a scope! Thanks for the input!!

I had 1 I put a Williams Fool-Proof sight on, it was a sweet little rig. I see that they are still available.

I have a Williams Fool Proof on my 39A with a 1/16" Marbles flat faced gold bead front. I kill plenty of squirrels with the little rig, it is a natural in the woods.

I've got a Williams reciver peep with a fiber optic front on my 39 Mountie. Love this set up for my 56 year old eyes. The front really stands out!

I guess the fact that I have replaced a lot of broken Williams aluminum sights drew me to the all steel Lyman sights has made me a believer that steel just doesn't brake as fast as aluminum.

You folks can have my share of aluminum sights, thank you.

Ditto. I firmly believe the only type of receiver sight to put on an old Marlin 39 is a steel Redfield or Lyman. Here's mine with a Redfield 70. These old sight are tough to find and expensive, they do show up on Ebay occasionally. Put a sourdough front sight insert on, and you're good to go.

Do you or anyone else have a picture of a Marlin Mountie with these sights on it?
I'm strongly considering these sights for both my Mountie and my 1894 .44 mag.
