Found a one-hole load for my 700 today. 165 gr Speer Grand Slams fueled by 57.2gr of IMR 4350 in Winchester brass sparked with GM210M primers.

I was a happy camper until I went to Sportsmans Warehouse to replenish my bullet supply and all that they had were HotCores. More testing...

Glad you found a good load. That load sounds pretty light- I was using 57.0 gr of IMR-4350 with 165 gr bullets.

59.0 gr Hunter, 180 gr Accubond, CCI 200 primers, Remington brass, 0.020" off the lands.
Just over half an inch at 100 yards.
Start low, go slow.

180 grain Nosler BT atop 56 grains of IMR4831 sparked by CCI 200's gives me bug hole groups at 100 yds. My W760 load pushing 180 grain Accubonds was a failure. I tried varying charges of W760 with CCI 250's with them and all groups were minute of a broad side of a barn. Horrible groups. Seriously about three to five inches after firing five shots into one hole with the above mentioned 4831 load. What I have left loaded are getting pulled and reloaded with 4831.

If they were Hot Cor mag tips buy them. Those are damn near as solid as the Grand Slams and half the price almost. I've had great results with 150 MagTips in 30 cal and the 160's in 7 mm.

What kind of velocity are you getting with that load? I have a box of 165 interlocks waiting for me and three pounds of IMR 4350.

I had 57.0 grains of H4350 using the Hornady 165gr SP also. I was shooting a Remington 700 with a 22" bbl.

I could get over 3000 fps with a Hornady 150gr SPBT using
winchester W760 in a 22" barreled Ruger. When I was young
and foolish. Also very accurate, worked well with
165Gr Hornady SPBT also, in the 2900+ range. Killed quite
a few deer with the 150gr load.

GOOD REDUCED LOAD FOR NEAR DUPLICATION OF THE 30-30

35 grains of H4198 over a WLR primer and a 150 grain RN of your choice. Originally developed with a Speer hot Cor RN but a Hornady works just as well.

This load is well under MOA in my Ruger No.1 RSI basically clover leafing at one hundred yards. Actually measured distance with a three hundred foot tape measure.

Why? Good for kids, kicks like a 243 and less than the ol 30-30 due to the heavier average weight of an '06 v a 30-30 carbine. And where I hunt my average shot has been well under 100 yards in the past decade.

And thanks to Seafire for the help on this load. He's the reduced load Yoda smile

My go-to load was 165gr Hornay BTSP pushed by 57.8 grains of H4350. It was through a standard Remington 700 ADL.
