While I don't mind streams of consciousness, a minimal grasp of English usually gets one farther in life.

Dude, (and I rarely use the term grin )

P-u-n-c-t-u-a-t-i-o-n. A new concept in written communications.

I also like the 45-70. (Break!)

I prefer the 405 grain bullets (Break!)

It was likely a Buffalo Classic that you used. (Break!)

There's no excuse for improper communication.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.

45/70,it's almost a religion.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

More so, when giving the .45-70 a thumbs down.

The obviously does not know, what he is talking..., taking, or smoking.

Yeah, I just bought a Marlin 1895 SBL, today in fact. Big thumbs down. I really love it so far. If I could give it three thumbs down I would, it's great!!!

SHAME ...
________

School IS back in session tomorrow ... and, (by the way) our PRESIDENT is going to address and teach our school children and US, maybe "something" tomorrow ... So, better listen up.

Meanwhilst, a basic basic sentence diagram of Savage 62's above posted word structure tells me:

1. Mr. Savage 62 LIKES the Legendary and Storied, 45-70 Govt. Cartridge. ... (Which is admirable.)

2. Savage 62, shot a deer with said "same" cartridge, from an H&R 1871 Buffalo Classic single shot break-open rifle. ... (Exciting.)

3. That, said "Cartridge" fired from said "Rifle", really Knocks 'em down! ... (Interesting and true observation.)

4. I assume, that since H&R is owned by Marlin, and Savage62 goes on to give credit to this rfle- and follows up with praise for other multi-calibered Marlin rifles (lever actions, AND the recent 'new' Marlin bolt-action rifle) ... Savage 62 IS a huge MARLIN FAN! ... (ALL GREAT STUFF here !!!)

Now WHY? would any Campfire member here want to taunt or mock another fellow Campfire brother, who has this much spirit and enthusiasm for Huntin' and Marlin's. ... (I dunno'.)

Your ridicule could give him a "plex" and just drive him away from the Campfire. ... You know, you CAN listen to WHAT a person says, and not just HOW it is said. Substance over Style, I would hope.

Besides, Savage 62 is worth about 10 of me ... and maybe a couple of you ... or more.

Oh, the humanity ...

You're right, and I apologize to the OP. I didn't understand the OP, but shouldn't have tried to make light/fun of it.

Greensboro/Winston-Salem is a nice area, about 2-1/2 hours west of me. Where do you live?

I didn't say what he was speaking was spanish. What I said was where I live, a working knowledge of spanish is useful. Some areas look like Little Mexico.

Thanks, I'm gonna try to. Va Whitetail season opens the 14th, and I just fitted a set of Brockman's laminates to my Guide gun, so off to get abused tomorrow. The Limbsaver ought to help some.

.308 and .30-30 are ready to rock and roll, so's all I have to do is see if the new stocks changed POI, correct any changes, and then anxiously await the chance to burn fur.

You apprenticed elderly gents, are in for a shock when the "text communicated" youth of today discovers our hobby.

I have already had a taste of that. My daughter can type about 70 wpm with her thumbs. I was kidding with her one day, telling her that her generation will eventually walk up to each other and do this (made "texting" motions with my thumbs) and the message will be understood, sorta like sign language.

She will text me, I will call back...

I have been asked to work with contractors where I work, to get information to or from them. We also have an Administrative Assistant who is from El Salvador, and she is quite fluent in English, so she helps me over the rough spots I may have. I guess it's second nature to you. I haven't gotten that good, but I'll learn something once in a while. It's gotten to where remembering is the hard part... grin

I'm beginning to get an inkling of that.

But...It can come in handy.
