I have about 8 days of steelheading scheduled beginning a little after Labor Day, and MacRabbit has me hooked (pun intended) on his Azetec pattern. I have a tradition of retiring each fly that lands a steelhead, and will be in a world of hurt if this turns into a good trip. I'll be on the bank tying instead of fishing. It must take me half an hour to tie and get an Azetec into fishable condition. Those things are simply a bear for my old fat fingers. Wish they didn't look so da-ned fishy. Some advice to all... Never communicate with and stay away from MacRabbit. If he sends you an envelop of samples, burn it before opening, and one can spend more time fishing and less time cursing his vice. Sorry, I've been away playing the heart attack game. I'm back. For awhile?  But didn't I offer more just a few weeks ago? The pimp on the corner is always willing to give away free samples of Horse, Crack, or Aztec. I can't guarantee that home tutoring is in the cards. But I sure do want to see those pics.

Yeah, a pretty bad one. Blockage for over seven hours.
Other aspects were of the better vs worst sort, so one stent and I'm good. For now, at least.

Geezzzz Macrabbit: Just got back from a week on the Deschutes yesterday afternoon. Unpacking and cleaning up stuff and did not check in last night.
Hope they get you whipped back into shape. Having just gotten retired, my goal is to be retired for more years than I worked. Do whatever they say and get those arteries nice and slick again.
I'll post a fishing report and try to get a shot of the successful flys included bit later.
