Dug out my Dad's old 336SC in 35 Remingon. The firing pin appears to be broken. Who has a bullet proof front or one piece firing pin for it and I would like to place a period correct reciever sight on it, where do I find one for a 52-53 model year 336? Hope you can help

You really should join MarlinOwnersforum. There are a bunch of good fellas over there that are very responsive and knowledgeble.

This forum is kinda dead.

You can call Marlin and probably still order parts from them. I did that a few years ago and replaced all external screws that had been buggerd up over the years.

As far as period correct sight, look at a Lyman receiver sight. The Marlin is already drilled and tapped. Dad's old SC has one I put on there 45 years ago.

You can also find everything at Brownell's.

Marlinowners.com forum is a good suggestion, a world of information on Marlins there.

Numrich Arms also carries firing pins.

BTW - Although there are one-piece firing pins conversions out there, please DON'T DO IT !

The original two-piece FP is an integral part of safety with the rifle, so I wouldn't change it out for any reason.

Good advice, Keep the two piece firing pin.
