Just wondering if anyone had any good load data for this combination asfar as velocities,seating depth etc.? Any help would be appreciated Jason.

64-65 grains of H4350 should do the trick if your rifle likes the bullet. 2900-2950fps is the norm for my rifle and accurate 180 grain loads. Seating depth voodoo depends on the specific rifle.

I just loaded up 45 Partitions for the upcoming hunting season. For whatever reason my WSM likes them alot more than the Accubonds.

RL 22 is the key in my experience.

I also am trying to determine what powder. I have both RL-22 and H-4350. I am loading up for a freind and before he buy's a couple of lb.'s i will use mine to work up arecipe. He is only loading for the 300WSM. no sense in having 4 or 5 powder's kick'n around if not going to be used, then again, maybe i could use some dif. powder's, hhmmmmm, just kidding. It would be nice to hear from other's on there recipe's for this caliber.

The best bullet type, the best seating depths or COALs, the best powder type and charges, will depend on what your particular rifle likes. A 180 gr Accubond loading that works well in one rifle, may not work as well in yours.

However, along with the RL22 and H-4350 mentioned, you may also want to take a real good look at Vihtavouri N165. It is in the same burn range as Mag Pro and slightly slower than RL22. More expensive by about $8.00 per lb, but worth it.

It has worked extremely well in my 300 WSM using some 180 gr Sierras and 185 Berger VLDs, with very low and consistent extreme spread variations over a chrony.

Other reviews I`ve read on other distributors sites, report lower ES consistencies than RL22, slightly better velocities along with the same or less pressures.

Interestingly, I haven`t read any bad or so-so reviews or posts yet on the VV N165 for use in the 300 WSM.

As usual, regardless of powder choice, start lower and work up 1/2 gr at a time.

I'd start with 63 of H4350 and work up to 64 and once then you'll be about there. You find 2900 and or a bit mroe and you'll be golden.

R22 was the key in my 300shortie. Every rifle is different, but the 4350s and R22 are a great place to start.

69gr (Nosler's listed max) of Reloader 22 and the 180 AB works for me @ 2.800" in a customized M700. Very accurate load.

With 64.0 to 64.5 gr of H4350, Fed 215M primer, 180 NAB, I was getting good accuracy at 2950-3000 fps in a 26" barrel 300WSM.

I would go with the RL-22 for one reason, it is about equal to the other powders mentioned but it is a lot easier to throw an accurate load with than the stick powders..meters extremely well in other words..I hate to weigh too many charges.

I used a maximum charge of 69 grains of RL19 with any 180 grain bullet, my gun loves RL19, I have two loads for it a 63 grain deer load and a 69 grain anything load both with 180's

I have loaded for my 300 wsm and also two others with the 180 accubond and imr 4831 shot very well in all three . I used wlrm primers or either f215 depending on what was available in ww brass.I stopped at 67.5 and around 2950 fps . That is my load for my personal gun , browning A bolt and I used it the last two years on cow elk with good results . also in my gun 180 ptns will shoot the same load into the same group .

I've loaded 65.5 grains of RL 17 and 180gr. accubond with a OAL of 2.850 and shot 1.5" group @ 100yds. What can i do to to tighten that group up or do i need to?

Charge and seating adjustments can both make a major difference.

Dropped the powder charge down to 64.7 grains and that did the trick sub moa @100 and 2.5" @ 300.
