Don't know anything about cz's, but I've found chapstick to be one of the best release agents out there. Works every time, and I've seen the stuff they include w/ a bedding kit not work. Had to freeze the gun to get it out of the stock.

There is some variation between models of 452 that makes bedding instructions specific to each. Best place to find the info is in the CZ forum at RimfireCentral.com.

Well,the idea behind bedding is to stabilize...each gun has it excepted method.
The CZ rimfire appears to have three main points of contact. Some rimfires work well the the barrel floated and the action floated,most the other way around....
I just looking for the guy with the T-shirt,been there,done that....

I have two 452's, one in 22 RF and a 17 HMR.
Both shoot very well as received from the factory, so I see no reason to bed either rifle.

My 452 Varmint hasn't needed any special bedding either. IIRC, the Varmint model is different from the American in the way it mounts to the stock. Could be differences with others, but I don't recall.
Anyway - you'll find a lot of folks at RFC have done various bedding techniques on the CZ. I think the pillar bedding methods are the best, and that's the way I would go if I needed it.

That's interesting about the Varmint,I have a FS and a American now.Cabelas has a Varmint on order for me now.
It appears they are going to change these,so I thought I might buy a couple.I really like m'

One thing to try before going to the bother of bedding is to make sure the bedding screws are not over tightened. This seems to be an issue with consistent accuracy in the 452.
