I agree with AJ and aalf, I shoot with a Protektor myself, the medium all leather (#41). You will need to decide if you want rabbit ears (tall) or bunny ears(short) or medium like I use. You can also have the ears in Cordura or leather, I selected leather but you have to take care of it. Look for a product called Lexol to clean and condition the leather. One more item to consider is what to use to fill the bag as these bags come empty. I selected the Chromite heavy sand from Sinclair, it is almost twice as dense as regular sand and very black. I used a funnel to fill the bag and ears and added more sand a few weeks later after it settled some. You can read about heavy sand here: http://www.6mmbr.com/sandcomparison.html

Actually, Protektor will fill the bags with heavy sand for you. Although they weren't filled to my liking, I topped them off the little they needed with regular beach sand.

I see. I bought the back from Sinclair, they sell them empty, and added the sand myself.

Bob Gephart's Bald Eagle machine is out of business. Protector is a good bag. Get the short ears if you have any kind of cheek piece on your rifle stocks.

Get Lizard sand from the pet store. I have Edgewood bag and as soon as I get it paid off I'm going to get a decent rest. I've been looking at this one. $325 shipped Made by Cayle Davis.. Ken http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc93/xpfuzz/000_0621.jpg
