Any of you guys ever had the muzzle ports filled in on your 1895G

to eliminate the deafening report?

.

I fixed my Guide Gun that had ports. I traded it for one that didn't have ports. That's the easiest fix.

try some JB weld, take pics or better yet video, I'd like to see this.

screwing on a new barrel is your best bet.

I've got both, an older one with ports and a newer one that properly only has one hole where the bullet exits.

haven't screwed on a new barrel on the ported one as it's parkerized, I like that finish and am too cheap and lazy to change it out (heck of a combo cheap/lazy)

so I just put electrical tape over the ports as I'm taping the end of the barrel.

don't like the ports, but it shoots well so I just live with it

Trim the barrel back to just behind the ports and recrown.

You have 1 of 2 paths to take, either cut down the barrel and recrown as was mentioned prior by another poster, or you can simply trade the rifle in on a new one that better suits your wants and needs.

WARNING!...........DO NOT PLUG THOSE PORTS!!! This could be very very hazzardous to you or someone near by.

Thanks guy's...good advice. If I decide to move forward...I believe I'll trim the barrel back and recrown.

Thanks for all pertinent input!
