Last night after work I took my boy and Tank the lab out to fill my swan tag. After letting several dozen pass that were only marginally in range or not as big as I wanted, I dropped an absolute monster swan. Wish I had some pics of Tank on the retrieve, that was something to see! 7 ft. from wing tip to wing tip with the characteristic yellow spot near the eye. It's going to make a beautiful mount over my couch in a landing pose - wingtips will extend to the ends of the couch. Pics to follow in a few days...

ranger, you the man on getting your swan. I wanted to put one on the wall this year, but I screwed up and shot a smaller bird than I have shot over the last few years. Might be for the better, as I already have a couple of critters at the taxidermist.

Finally got my film developed from last fall - My boy took the pic - not too bad a job but didn't get a very good idea of size on the bird.
