Prices seem to really vary. I have an opportunity to get a '69 model with a decent oil finish stock for $450 to my door. really nice shape. blue is about 98%, no real scratches on the wood. Jump on it? I have a 39D, but really want a 39A also.

$450 might be a little high, but if it is what you want, go for it. They are great rifles and you will never be sorry for your purchase.

I would rather have that than a new one for the same price.

In 5 years you won't remember what you paid for it.

I'd go for it. That's about standard and as was said, I'd rather have that one than a new one.
