I have two Kostyshyn 1:17 .30's. They are the best barrels I've ever had on my BR guns, to date. I first met Craig in Mainville, Pa. at the IBS Score Nationals and was impressed by his dedication to quality and by how the barrels looked through the borescope. I only used his .30's, so can't speak to any other bore sizes.
Sadly, both my Kostys are long in the tooth and have been retired..the last one after this season ended. One (a LV profile)is still darn good at 100 but has lost it's edge at 200.
Craig originally had a partner..it was Kostyshyn and Barwick Barrels. Soon it was just Craig. I'm not sure what all happened to make Craig decide to close shop, though I have a pretty good idea from talking with him toward the end.
I'd give a good portion of my anatomy to have 10-15 of Craig's 1:17 .30's stashed in my barrel rack.
Craig purchased the barel making equipment from Northwest Precision Barrels....but I have no idea where his equipment ended up. I've asked some BR pals of mine that live in the area what happened to the equipment, but no one seems to know.
Good shootin'. -Al
