Just got my first set of dies from C&H Tool and they're really nice pieces of work.

C&H's specialty is a large selection of dies for obsolete and obscure wildcat chamberings, but they also manufacture dies for most modern typical calibers.

The only drawback is, you may have to wait a while for them, but for your time you'll get a super high quality set of dies in about any chambering you can imagine for about $80.

That's a real bargain when you see what other manufacturers are asking for any dies that fall outside of the mainstream.

They're very friendly, helpful people to deal with and an excellent resource for those of us who participate in the shooting hobby.

I'd like to see them stay around, so the next time you need a set of dies, consider C&H. They make them with "old school" quality and don't charge you an arm and a leg for them.

Had an old set of their dies once for a "regular" cartridge. Can't recall what it was but they were nice dies.

Their H-Press looks pretty neat, too. Not sure what I'd do with it but I like the way it looks.

I bought this three station CH press at a garage sale in the mountains where the folks live for $10 or $15 bucks. I called and got RCBS shellholder conversions for $10 or $15 bucks. I remember I ended up with a total of $25 into the whole rig.

My .300 WM dies stay in it on a permanent basis. Great press. I knew nothing about them before I bought the press. Quality stuff.

My one experience with CH4D wasn't so hot. I ordered a set of dies for my 500 Jeffrey from them. They'd produced several sets a few years back, so they were an off the shelf item. On their website the listed price was $140, they charged me $160, and to top it off the seating die was machined for a 0.505" bullet, the 500 Jeffrey uses a 0.510" bullet, so the die was useless as delivered. My thought was, any company that can't get it right the firs time might screw it up the second time, so I honed the die out myself vs. shipping it back and waiting who knows how long for who knows what quality.

My first and last experience with CH, your mileage may vary.

My first set of 35 Whelen dies were CH. That was about 25 year ago. I still have them. Excellent quality.

C&H dies are very good dies today.

But there was a period of time a few decades ago when their quaility was rather spotty, so not every set of used C&H's are up to the same standards as ones currently offered.

I think Ray Atkinson posted on his experiences a while back.
