I found one in about 90% for $229 out the door,so I did the form gave them cash,and took it out the door!I walked real fast.

Oh,by the way,I left out some of the bragging stuff,this 39 is a 1954 ser#L195xx and is still 90%!I thought it was my turn to get a bargain for a change.

1954 , "First" year with 20" barrel . Less than 1,200 made with M.G. and less that like 80 with ballard rifling .

BTW,a few weeks after I got that one,I picked up another one at the same place.It's also a '54.This one is a 39A made for Sears,with the barrel drilled for side mounts.It has a dent in the stock,and the blue on the receiver's thin,and the barrel has a nice brownish patina.Also,some one slid an ivory bead sight onto the front ramp.It's in good shape with no rust or pits on the metal,and no cracks in the wood.Does have the little dent in the left upper side of the stock,but the bore is great and it functions perfectly.Asking price was $179.99.I thought about having it reblued and such but it shoots great and what the heck.I'm gonna work on getting set for pictures pretty soon if I could learn to walk away from the so called deals.
