I went fishing today since the temps hit 70 and the sky was clear. You know the day is going to be good when the first hole produces a nice 3lb largemouth. Within minutes I had a couple of nice crappie in the livewell (brought home 13 to eat). As the day continued the fishing was good. Nearing the end I stopped just short of the loading ramp (with lots of spin fishermen around) I made a few casts and landed some nice striped bass ready for spawning. It's always gratifying to catch fish (quickly) in front of all the spin and baitcasters and live bait fisherman. Oh, by the way, I was using a white and chartreuse clouser minnow in size 10. Sorry no pics but I was busy catching fish.

I'm helping put the next batch of 2500 Browns into one our local streams next Tuesday. We float stock it so they are spread out about 1 1/2 miles down the catch and release water. The stream usually gets too warm for holdovers so it go's catch and kill for two fish middle of June. Until then you usually have the place to yourself, well except for a local ethnic group that nets the place.
