I wish one or more of the guys who have full knowledge of the 99 would compose a repair manual with detailed instructions on how to repair the savage 99 . With pics and detailed drawings at each stage I bet they would have no problem selling them.
See "Misc. good info" on the Savage collector's forum...it's gotten me through most of my questions...then post your question, Who knows, it might add some info that no one has come up with yet.
