I received my stock last week from McMillan. It was a re do for one that was inletted incorrectly.

I will say I'm real happy with how the Tac- Hunter feels. I set my Alpine action in it with Seekins DBM, and Bartlein 10 twist in it last night. Now off the to gunsmith to get it all screwed together.
This will be a 6x47 Lapua.

it will be a long range vermin hunter. Being a 10 twist it will mainly get fed 65- 70 grain bullets i make which are a copy of the old Clint Starke red prairie varmint bullets that work so well.

I will use 90-95 grain bullets for the larger thin skinned game as well.

Nice rifle. I love the Tactical Hunter stock. I wonder if McMillan can do one with a inlet for a Dakota Model 76 action?

Is this stock listed on McMillian's web-site? If so, what is it called?

As far as I can tell the mcMillan website hasn't been updated to include this stock or the new McMillan Hunter pattern.

There is a McMillan rifle which uses this stock in a non-adjustable form, which is pictured here: http://www.mcmillanusa.com/mcmillan-rifles-custom-tactical-hunter.php

I think Rick has added the pattern to the Tactical stock options in the Campfire store though.
