I've met that dude on more than one occasion.
He's in tight with John Taylor an all the rest of the Freetrappers around here (including Gene Gordner of Serengetti fame)
His knives are very period correct if you ever feel the need to dress up in brain tanned leather and shoot deer with a flint-lock...
Travis, was that Randall what you lent me to gut my goat?

I have a Beebe custom skinner I will try to get a photo loaded for. Those of you who do taxidermy will recognise its utility. Just teasing until photo can be loaded.

Those little montana americana knives used to be my favorites and still see some use. Will take hellish edge and easily touched up. Spent 4 days looking for one I lost once.

Wow, a few Randall's posted in this thread, that's a surprise. Here's a few of my Randall's, though most of them are used. The Model #26 at the bottom is a favorite of mine. The Model#1 in the center, with the Black Micarta handle, was a gift from my dad and I carried that knife as an Infantryman for 4 years. That one means a lot to me as well.

All I remember was Drive to Havre, 3 hour nap, Yuban, Sausage and egg bagel, go hunting, kill schitt the 4th stalk, deathmarch, drive to [bleep], buy Texas Case of Budweiser, Maliska's pizza, sleep, Red Bull, skin and quarter, drive to Kalispell. I do remember thinking, "thats a classy knife for a caveman" Did you ever find the 20 bucks I left under your pillow??

Brad, you have a helluva collection of Randall's there. If I was going to get another it would be a drop point like your stag handle model 26.

Clean it up buddy. We have a good thread going here... I have so many GD knives laying around I can't remember which one I threw to you. I sort of doubt throwing a Mick of your repute a knife of that value though... And it's Nalivkas, not Maliskas. I'll ask them to print out some celtic menus for your illiterate ass. Gonna have to take the boy after some snow gophs today. But only if the chain (wind gauge) doesn't go to 90 degrees. Travis

Ingram #20 in the ear.... did three hogs for me with nothing more than a few hits with the steal. Convinced me enough that I ordered a set of dropped combos from Gene and then bought a different to use for the next 3 years while I wait. it did help in the kitchen making a lot of this but for the most part I used an OLD Case brand fillet knife for de-boning.

I ran a few knives made by 2 of our members and was not disappointed. Wildswalker made this one and it's nothing but awesome. Michiganroadkill did a great job on this one, another awesome blade.

I have been carrying an old western knife for years. It is just about perfect for everything up to deer. Just recently I bought the " Alaskan" series by Kershaw with interchangeable blades and a small Kershaw folding knife that works great for the esophagus!

RR, I think we have the same western knife, but yours looks lilke it has been sharpened quite a bit! I got mine when I was 12 (long time ago) and we used to split the pelvis bone on deer and I started a quest for a heavier knife. Wound up with a buck vanguard, now I have a barkriver gameskeeper (too heavy & big, problem with buying off internet...) and waiting to try a barkriver canadian special. Now that I have a sagan saw for splitting, I should go back to my western knife.
Other than that, How was the show Mrs. Lincoln?
