Spike, I have tried every mount and ring that i know of on 10/22's. Weaver makes a inexpensive light mount and rings, I don't care for weaver rings but if you use weaver bases and Millet rings thats not a bad combo. But I have so much tied up in my best 10/22 I chose Burris one piece base and Leopold rings. No reason other than to spend money. Old style weavers are a bother to set up but they work ok. just so much custom stuff on my rifle I just had to go with the best I could find. <P>Bullwnkl.
