With the 55's I like IMR 4350, with the 70-75's I like IMR 4350, R19 and H4831. Or I guess I should say my barrels have liked...grin

HM You skimped on info......... like bullet weight ,barrel twist etc.,etc. IMO it is a waste to have a capacity this large and use light or medium weight bullets. the heavies are the way to go with this chambering from 95 to 107grains and some even prefer the 115 grainers. RL22 has worked the best for me, VVN165 has also worked good. B

Here are a bunch of loads from LoadData.com.
Warning! Notes: All loads utilized Remington .25-06 cases and CCI 200 primers with an overall length of 3.3 inches. Barrel length was 21 inches with a 1-in-10 inch twist. Velocity measured with a PACT chronograph at approximately 6 feet, rounded to nearest 10 fps. If it was a 26" barrel those velocities would be very low. As it is they almost match what I get out of my 6mm Remmy.
The data clearly states the barrel was 21" long....what a waste, bet the muzzle blast was awesome!

That's what the data says, 21"
I agree that a 6-06 in a 21" tube is nothing short of ridiculous.
The loads however should be fine in a more appropriate length barrel.

Interesting data anyway, I've run 25" tubes on mine. Had one buddy who went 24" on his first and 27 on his second if I recall right.
Is there any info for the 55's-75's?
Thx

No Mark there isn't. There is a ton of data for the 6x284 in all bullet weights which as you know is a pretty close approximation of the 6-06.

All good info. Thanks all. This was done for a friend, and I should have gotten more info on the gun.
I should be able to pass this on with the usual disclaimers of course.
