BTDT. A freind and I ran a few lines when we were kids in school. We had a coon set on a good size hole in the river bank, maybe 10" and a good foot and half deep.
One mornin' Radford thought we had a grinner so, he grabs the wire and hauls it up out'a the hole figgerin' to drown it in the river. WRONG ANSWER, turned out to be one PO'd woods p@**y. Radford caught the full blast right about jacket collar high and I got some of the wind blown drift. Had us both down on our knees prayin' to Raaallllph.

If it was anything like my experience, after I ditched the coveralls I was wearing and washed up a bit, I really couldn't smell it. thinkin I had gotten lucky, i jumped in the truck to check the rest of the line..I see a buddy on a back road and we roll down the windows to visit, as soon as I cracked my window he says "my god man you got a f'n skunk in the cab" lol, guess i still stunk a bit!

that is killin me. I had a white setter that would kill um and bring home his prize. He used to look like a martian. All green all over his face and stinking to high heaven. Just looking up at my mother with his best look what I brought home Eyes. I would be gettin a holler to get my but down the stairs and get that darn dog out to the barn for a wash down.


The wind would blow and the smell would hit you from the wash room for a month.
