Been shooting them for years. I'm an old time reloader and the Federal Ammo makes you work to beat it if you can. Tried some in a 30/06 Colt Lite rifle I got last year and the Fed stuf will near clover leaf. Close enough for our Miss. deer.

I know this is a very old thread. I am had fantastic results with Federal Power Shot. Both accuracy and terminal results. I was jus considering the the Lee classic loader to leave at our camp with some primers projectiles and powder. I decided I'd just buy some loaded Federal power shok instead.

I walk around like I'm ok, but deep down inside, I wanna buy another gun.

My father uses a Cooper .30-06 every year for deer season and it shoots the 180 grain sub MOA like clockwork and never a issue with killing deer with the 180 grain slug. Would not be hesitant to use it on larger game if the opportunity arose.

Loading a few rounds at a time as you need them at your hunting camp seems like a suboptimal option to me.

I think that you'd be better off to buy 5 boxes of factory ammo from the same production lot and shoot it up. When you're done with that set of 100 rounds, buy another set of 100 rounds and repeat the process. I recommend this to my casual hunting acquaintances, but they often don't want to spend the $$ necessary to buy 5 boxes of ammo at one time.
