one of my .264 Win rifles. Sendero barreled action in an A1-3 with Badger M5 bottom metal. this barrel won't last much longer and i'll be sorry to see it go. it is the best factory barrel i've ever shot, accurate and slow to foul. upside is, i have a Lilja 3 groove #7 contour 1:8" twist barrel on the shelf for this, and the stock was inlet for the Lilja contour.

and here's another .264 Win i shot the barrel out of. M700 with Krieger HV barrel in an AICS wearing a USO Canadian. all in all, too heavy and the action is now getting reborn in a McM Classic with a Brux standard Remington sporter contour .264 barrel.

Here's my "training wheels" rig--223 Rem factory varmint action in a McMillan A3. Scope is a Weaver K15; all in all a budget conscious set up but it's cutting .75MOA at 100 yards with a load of 24.5gr Ramshot TAC and a 60gr Hornaday VMAX. That should improve as I get better at working with the gun off a bipod, the groups are dispersed horizontally which I think is a result of an inconsistent hold on my part. I built this gun to "test the waters" so to speak before I invest in a full on long range set up.

For your new rig try checking the McMillan specials page frequently as you can pick up an A-series stock with no wait and for pretty good prices, I ordered this one for $475 last Monday and it got to my house on Friday.

Just a Sendero, stock except a Jewell trigger. Zeiss 6.5-20. It has a level mounted on it now. 300 WM, mostly shoot 200-gn AB's out to 900 yds though I plan on trying some other stuff like the 208 AMAX soon.

Trying like heck to wear out this tube! smile It shoots well but has other "issues".

Hi Shane,

Would you share your thoughts on the Super Sniper line of scopes?

I almost pulled the trigger on one in 10x. I went with the Bushnell 3200 10x insted.

GB,

The SS is hard to beat for a budget LR scope. This is my first one, and I bought it used for $225. Functionally it does everything needed. Decent turrets, parallax adjustable, mildot reticle, 100 moa elevation travel, (10X has more than that), decent glass.

I like mine and have no regrets. I have four Leupold's in the inventory too, but I don't mind using the SS at all. I might pick up a 10X version second-hand too.

Short action 700 currently sporting a 1:12 twist Kriger chambered with the '95 Palma reamer for .308 Win. McMillan A1-3 stock, Badger base and rings, 4.5-14x Leupold, Turner sling. I've been shooting the same rifle for about 15 years now and have been through several different barrels over the years. Good, basic rifle that tosses bullets pretty well.

243AI at 1000yds. It wears a Mike Rock fluted Rem Varmint contour, 1-9"tw and finished at 24"s. I'm running moly'd 105Amax's at 3250 via R-17. I really like this rifle, though the next barrel will be an unfluted Rem Varmint contour at 23"s.

700 LA, .300 win mag, 30" Hart HVY contour, B&C Medalist stock, Zeiss 6.5-20x50, shoots 190 SMK's excellent. 18 lbs.

I started this one a couple months ago. Its going to be chambered in .300 win mag with a Hart #5 contour, but it will wear a H-S stock and a Zeiss 3.5-10x50 scope and should weigh just under 10 lbs.

Not bad. Spending way more than I've been making. Hope to be back to work soon. Waiting for reamers, and spending a buddies money on the Blue/Black .243AI. He went 75% black, and 25% blue. It should go to the smith this week, and then for paint the next. Then the long wait for the swirly. No internet time must mean you been staying out of trouble?
