It is the ugly guns that get us the bad rap. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
I wish Glock and H&K didnt have to suffer...But <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
OK, so I guess you propose to change the 2nd Amendment to read something like "...The right to bear
only those arms deemed to be not only aesthetically pleasing, but approved by the Government shall not be infringed..."
Rack up another success for the Brady Campaign...
They may make you sick, but what sickens me is that you fell for their "divide and conquor" technique.
So, those gun owners who have the so-called "ugly" firearms that you describe are evil and you are the good...
I noticed that you wrote that you wouldn't buy
another service carbine or "automatic pistol". This indicates that you have them, or have bought them in the past. So, you're a convert to the "good" side.
While you're at it, why don't you revolt against all automobiles that go over 15mph (since that should comply with all trafic speed limits out there, from the highways to School Zones), since it's those fast cars that make all drivers look bad.
Reagan and Brady were not shot with an assault rifle, bullpup shotgun, automatic pistol or service carbine. The firearm used (I believe, but don't know exactly) was a revolver. So, after you perform your revolt, do you *really* think that the Brady Campaign is going to stop if all the *ugly*, evil guns are banned? How safe do you think your revolvers will be?
As for your safe, politically-correct, double-barrelled shotgun, it's only a hacksaw-job away from being a "street sweeping sawed-off shotgun weapon of mass destruction."
Do I own ony non-pc firearms? No...unless you count my evil, black Kahr MK9 semi-auto pistol. My point? My point is that even though I don't own, or even have an interest in those styles of firearms, I realize that there are others that do and that we must all stand together and cut out this "I'm an elitist and what you do is wrong" Bulls#*t.
We're all gun-owners.
Period.
We may not always agree on all points and we may not even necessarily like the other members interests. However, you either fight the battle now, standing with *all* groups in a position of strength, or fight the battle on your own later when those other groups have been defeated and cannot help you.
Let's look at it as we do our Nation:
