Are these bullets still produced?
Looking for 30 cal 200gr?
If not anyone know where I can get Nosler Partition 200gr in 30 cal?
Only finding them on the shady sites. None of the majors have them from what I can tell.
Thanks
Tom

I don't think TBBC's are produced any more. I believe they converted to the Trophy Bonded Tip bullets, but i am not 100% sure on that one. I didn't see any 200 partitions that weren't back ordered either, but pretty much every web sight had 200 Accubonds.

Yeah I like the Accubonds.
I'm reloading for a family member and he insists on one of the two.
Speer was the producer of the trophy bonded bear claw correct?
I'm going to call them and see what's up.

Nope. Federal made them. No one answered the phone at Federal.

They are still made. They are loaded in Federal Ammunition. You can buy them here. They show to have the 200 gr. .308 cal. as well. Trophy Bonded Bear Claws

When TBBC first hit the stores people loved them. And then, almost as suddenly, it seems, they fell out of favor with the masses. You just don't hear much about them anymore. Anyway..

I loved the accuracy and lethality I got out of the factory loaded Federal Premium 6.5x55 TBBC. The deer I took at 380 yards in '06 didn't. But a month or so later when I started handloading I went to price those same bullets: $44 for 25 bullets. No thanks. Probably priced themselves out of the market...

If you want some of the 308, 200 grain TBBC's, pm me with what you are willing to pay. Figure another 6 bucks or so for shipping and insurance. How many hundred do you want?

I know. Made me wonder if there was some kind of fire and forget technology being used. ????? I used those bullets in 7MM & .30 cal and loved them, but the price made me go to Accubonds and back to Partitions, which ain't cheap either but they aren't that outrageous.

It's been about two years since I looked at the price of the TBBC. I pretty much wrote them off at the previously ludicrous prices. I just looked at the 200g 30 cal at both Graf and Sons and Midsouth Shooters Supply and it looks like the price is much more reasonable (although still not cheap). http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=00129PB308T1http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/22190It's $15-$16 for a box of 20. That's about $80/100 vs. the previous $176/100. A bit more expensive than say a Barnes TSX or Nosler Partition, but not by much.

I've put the accubond through it's paces on long range and short range. Deer and elk. I don't know that I'd ever want a different bullet. Very reasonable price for what it is.
I'm excited to do a 300 WM build and test the Hornady A-Max.

If that's the case why are you trying to get your hands on the 30 cal 200g TBBC? What's the point of looking for it if you already have exactly what you want in the Accubond?

They are the worst factory loaded ammo I have ever shot in my 6.5x55 Ruger, 2-3" groups, may be a great bullet,if you can hit something. I don't really care much for Federal "Premium",never has impressed me much...

I've been interested in the TBBC and swift a-frame, but I will never purchase them because $1 per bullet is the absolute max I will pay and I rarely will spend that. The most premium I go is barnes tsx

statjunk, Ah, it wasn't in the OP but it was in your second post. I did read the whole thread (or so I thought) but I guess I glossed over it. Nevermind. rifle, It's funny that you had such a bad experience with them. They were probably in the top three as far as most accurate factory ammo in my 6.5x55 only to be bested by PMC Bronze 140g and PMC Silver 140g of all things... I took a young mule deer in '06 at 380 yards with a single shot with 'em. His head dropped, he twitched for 30 secs and never moved again. Good bullet, but doubtfully any better than an Accubond, TSX, Partition or what have you.
