Well I had the boat out yesterday for the first test in the water since I bought it. The 25HP 4 stroke is nice as I expected it would be. It gets up on plane with a full throttle imput after about 8-10 seconds with three of us in the boat. The Humminbird depth finder worked flawless as does the GPS and Marine radio. So all systlem are go now. I just need a downrigger and my canvas enclosure which they will do for me early next month.

I was pleasantly surprised to have this boat cruise with three people at almost 30mph. It will do 25-26 easy and in flat sections it will hit 29mph. I never saw a 30mph while out today. It was windy much of the time so maybe when it's calm? It's plenty fast for me. Not a bad little set up for the inland lakes and the sound for salmon, bottom fish and crabbing.

I'm really liking this GPS with the mapping of the entire lakes and shoreline. It even has an info button which will show you all the launches, marina's, USCG police etc and fuel stations. It's nice to have that kind of info at your finger tips.

I bought an ICOM submersable marine radio because I do not have an enclosed cabin. It's clear and has the weather channel built in. Pretty cool stuff for a little boat!

JJHack,

Since your finger's all squished, you need an electric pot hauler...

...it mounts on a Scotty downrigger mount. Just wire in a Scotty electric downrigger recepticle, and your ready to pull.

Are you trying to sink his little boat? Don't think I would be going there on a runabout...

How do you like being able to carry on a conversation while at full throttle?

Heck I can eveb hear the radio while I'm running the motor and it's a tiller steer! I'm not as happy with the weight and cost but the motor is so nice and quiet, easy to start and smooooth running how can you go wrong! I also like the plain old gas! No smoke and oil mixing.

It'll probably run two weeks straight on 10 gal of gas. I have a 25gal tank and run the 115 Yamaha 4-stroke. No need to look at the gas guage, I just fill it up as the seasons change. All kidding aside, you'll be amazed at the fuel mileage.

I've had my boat on the rive quite a bit this winter. Some mornings as cold as 2 degrees with zero trouble starting it. A quick turn of the key and she's purrin' like a kitten. Past 2-strokes would wore out a starter or drained a battery!
