You should wish you get to hunt enough to wear one out.

Just saw your question on barrel length. Trust me you will shoot better with the 28s in the long run. Even more so with 30s and 32s, if done right and light. But I doubt they will do it. Old myths die hard.
Even many of today's skeet shooters are going to 28s and 30s. Smooths the swing out. The stronger a person is the more they should go to longer barrels if the gun balances.

One model has 26 inch barrels with straight English stock and lightweight alloy frame.
. That sounds fun. When will they be out?

Also, Hammer1, do you know if they'll have an oil finish on the stock or the bowling ally gloss?

While I saw Browning marketing materials on nice quality paper...
Don't recall the pictures well enough.
I took some notes from the materials but apparently either did not see the part about wood finish or it wasn't listed.
Might get to see the original marketing materials again.
If so, will let you know.

If you were going to order one for August delivery...
Would you order the...
Featherlight alloy-frame with English straight stock and 26 inch barrels
or
Gran Lightning steel frame with regular pistol grip and 28 inch barrels ??

There is no doubt in my mind that I'd be buying a Gran Lighting.
There have only been 100 total made to date and I'm guessing that there will probably only an additional 100 made in this run. That would bring the grand total of Gran Lightning's in 16 gauge ever produced to 100 each in 26" and 28" barrels.
That's still pretty good numbers for a high grade hunting gun's value to appreciate in in the future. I bought mine before they broke the 2k mark, the new ones are priced at $2,700 and if there are any future runs made, I'm sure they will be very limited in numbers produced and still higher in price.

Wow, just saw this thread and this is great news!
Do any of you know, at this point, what sort of distribution these 16's will see? That is to say, will only select distributors get them?
Also, if anyone knows, are they likely to charge a price premuium? I suppose a good indicator of that would be what was done in the past as far as pricing these special run 16's. Anyone recall that.
I would place an order for a measley ole regular Grade I Lightning with 28 inchers tomorrow if I knew how....

Anyone else going to admit looking at the thread title, thinking that an "l" got left out, marveling that anyone, let alone Browning, produced them, and being surprised that they are rated by gauge?

If they made a run of BSS 16's, they might have something...

If they put an "l" in citoris they might get down to the nub of things...

My spell checker actually tried to add that L into an article a few years ago. I wonder how much reader mail that would have generated.
