I just bought one for my 1895. After coupon code and shipping I got it for $64.

Here is the problem you might run into with the mighty "TS".

Since the barrel is shorter you'll have to call XS and get a higher front sight. They are easy to work with and true Texans.

I've found this to be the case on four of my 336's with 18 1/2" barrels.

The TS is not the "newer" model they are talking about for screw purposes.

I'll be honest with you, under the circumstances of the 18 1/2" barrel, I'd call them directly and explain the situation so you get the right stuff the first time even if its $30 more. You will need the next higher sight to get good range adjustment no ifs about it.

the XS sight is great. I have talked with XS personal and they are very helpful. Call the company and see what they say. I doubt it will cost you one penny more. Awesome Gun!

Be prepared for the front sight to look very big with this Model 336. I have just about given up on using peeps with anything less than a 20" tube. They are fine for very close work, but the front sight covers a lot of your target even past 50 yards.

Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.
