Hello campfire members,
I need some information and advice for subsonic reloading the .30-06 Springfield cartridge. I understand loading subsonic for this puppy is pretty hairy due to the relatively large case capacity compared to subsonic cartridges designed to shoot bullets at subsonic velocities. I am looking to shoot Hornady .308" 150 and 220 grain round nose interlocks, although if you believe there would be too much friction with the copper jacket I am open to using cast lead bullets that are lubricated, but I would much rather use jacketed ones. I have been surveying the subsonic reloading field and it looks like IMR trail boss would be a good choice and magnum primers to go with it. You guys got anything for me? The gun is a Savage model 111FCNS with a 22" barrel that has a 1:10 twist rate, need anymore information to assist you let me know. Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Braxton
