What do people shoot with 00 buck shot shells? I was given some boxes of 12 ga. shells. Are they used for turkey?

some states regulate what you can use hunting. Some High populated areas wont let you use centerfire rifles for hunting animals. But they will let you use shotguns loaded with buckshot or slugs.

They outa' work good on seals! They work good on everything at close range, including people...nothing at extended ranges. Depending on the choke of your shotgun, your "usable" range will be anywhere from 20-50 yards.

usually turkey hunters use a smaller size shot, more hit chances when shooting at the neck.

most likely used for deer.

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.

PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

I took a blacktail buck with 00 buck this past fall at 60 yards. Dropped it in its tracks. Recovered 7 pellets and very minimal meat loss. I'll definitly use them again especially in heavy cover where the shots are close and quick.

as supertrucker said best in heavy cover for quick shots at deer. I use them for coyote hunting. I always tote the single shot shotgun to my setups. You would be amazed at the times the yotes have almost run over me. Shotgun makes it easier to take them. By the time I get off my one shot they are usually on the 90mph run and need the rifle anyway.
