Hello
I am thinking about geting a BP rifle , and would like some ideas about witch one to go with .
I have found a few I really like , but the one that really stands out is the Encore 209x50 mag.
I want to get a Encore frame any way , and this way I can kill two birds with one stone . Pluse I can throw a different barrel on there when I don't need my muzzle loader .
The Encore seems to cost much more than most of the other muzzle loaders on the market , but then again you can't put a custom 22BR barrel on them , and go out and shot the heads off of p/dogs at 400-500 yards !
What would be a "GOOD" price on one . I saw them for about $425.00 on the net . Could I get one for cheeper ?
Thanks: Treeratkiller
[This message has been edited by treeratkiller (edited February 22, 2001).]

That wounds like a sound choice for a new muzzleloading hunter. I don't know about this gun, but the recommended price from manufacturer is about$500, so around here that translates into about $350.

I'd go with the Encore. I have a black diamond and like it but if the extra cost isn't a problem the Encore is the way to go. It will do anything a Disc will do plus for 200 bucks you can buy just about any caliber rifle barrel you want.

Ya..... I think i got my heart set on the encore . I may get one in .308 , and then get a .50 cal. barrel when the time comes that I need it . I will only be useing it for deer season any way . "and maybe some fun at the rang"
Regards: Treeratkiller

quote:
Originally posted by LSU fan:
I'd go with the Encore.
