I just received a Vortex Viper 6.5-20X44 from Camera Land. Fast shipping, free ball cap, free pound of coffee in the box. Nice folks to do business with. The scope looks very nice and I'm excited about getting it mounted. My question is: how is the tracking. I am going to have a custom elevation turret built for the scope, so I need it to track consistantly. Any first hand experience would be appreciated.

In my experience with a half dozen Vortex scopes (2 of which were 3-9x40 Vipers), they track perfectly fine, and better than most. I haven't had any issues at all so far.

I did not see any rings. No problem though, I already have a set of Talley 30mm.
