Fine tuned the 336CS this morning with LeverEvolution rounds down the tube. First group of three on the lower left, second group in the upper left and the third group in the middle. I was at 100 yards so raised the crosshair five clicks and called it a day. Should be well within minute of deer out to a couple of hundred yards.

Looks like your rifle may like that load.

Deer certainly won't.

Neither did the 6x6 elk in my freezer. My 19 year old carbine has no problems with the micro-groove rifling and the LE rounds. I have read where some fellas do have trouble with them. Hornady says 2400 fps with the 24" barrel and I'm getting 50 fps less with a 20". No complaints!

Marlin 336 accuracy, especially in .30-30, always impress those that are not familiar with the combination.

Those of us that own one, know............ laugh

I had some range time today with my 30/30. After last year I had my first scope rattle loose on any gun ever, and my 30/30 of all guns. Anyway, after some locktite and some range time, got her shooting again. My 100 yard 4 shot group was just a touch over an inch. I moved to 150 just to see and had a 1.5" group. 180 yards proved about 4". Still minute of deer no problem. All this with the carbine 20" and factory Whinchester 150 Powerpoints. Can't wait to dump some swamp donkeys this fall with it again.

awesome groupings there- I have a few 336's, and the newest, a birch-stocked 'W' shoots similar groupings with the LE ammo. I haven't had a chance to work up some handloads with the bullets yet, but I have a couple boxes now to play with. Should be fun.
Happy Hunting!
