Just purchased a 336 that was manufactured in 1981. Questions: the receiver is drilled and tapped and has a weaver on piece base. Would the D/T be factory? 2 in the front and 2 in the rear? I don't want to use the Leupold Rifleman base since it is the same as the Weaver. What Leupold one piece base works? I have seen two different bases with different hole patterns from Leupold; ie: two on the center rail and the other had two on the front and one on the rear. Anyone with experience I would appreciate the advise.
Thanks in advance to all

The D&T on a 1981 mfg Marlin would be factory. I use Weaver bases on my Marlins', so I won't be too much help on which Leupold base to use. I did have the standard one piece windage screw & dovetail Redfield base on one of my Marlin's (a M336); the ring spacing was too far apart to mount one of the new Redfield 2-7 variable power scopes. I went back to the Weaver's.
