Bought an extra 12 of Amber Bock for the gang tomorrow. Small gang that it is.

I see it in a couple of the Publix here, but it very well may not be in yours. Just like most of the Publix around here carry Czechvar, except the one nearest me.

I guess I don't consider Creamy Dark, Guinness or Big Eddy's to be sweet..

I don't know of a beer I'd call sweet.. Never thought about it I guess..

It's all relative of course, but I mean relative to IPAs and ESBs.

IPA's are good if you like beer that taste like a pine cone smells.

Big Eddy has some of that pine hoppy flavor to it but not like an IPA.

Those are not the "good" IPAs. The good ones taste like God himself wanted beer to taste! smile

Red Neck,
I'm headed to Palmdale, Calif next week for my youngest son's Air Force retirement ceremony and party. I just emailed him to pick up some of that Big Eddy for me. I'll let you know what I think about it at that time, I'm a Becks beer person, but like to try others.

It's an Aug-Nov seasonal ale, closer to Liberty Ale than to Steam. It uses Nelson Sauvin hops in enough quantity to provide big bitterness.

Interesting. I am a big Liberty Ale fan but can't always find it here.

I've been drinking Sam Adams Latitude 48 lately too. Good stuff. Pretty hoppy, but not in an over the top way like some of the currently fashionable IPAs.
