Quite well actually. With my eyes, I am only good to 100 yards open sites, but at that distance, the gun is very deadly.I refuse to put a scope on a gun like this, looks great the way she is!! Jack.
Your Savage is a "double" shot, not a single shot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> But they sure are fun, aren't they. My Brother has a 24F (I think) in 30-30/20 guage and that is a fine firearm.
