I just thought I'd pass along an old trick I learned in the "before time."
<br> It is possible to load an auto loader one handed. You pull it clear, then catch the rear sight on you belt, or edge of your holster, angle the muzzle away from you, and push hard. The rear sight will hold the slide in place while you push the frame away from you. When you get her all the way forward, you simply lift the pistol clear, and it will chamber a round. Naturally, it won't work on the Novak style rear sights. Works fine on the old 1911 style sights though.
<br> I don't carry them in condition three. But, some do, or must. This is the way to do it one handed. I suggest you practice on an empty chamber. It's pretty fast too. E

And don't mis-place where you make the rear sight catch. You will look pretty silly standing there with a still unloaded pistol and the seat of your pants torn out.

Another good way is after you drop the magazine, drop to one knee (right knee if right handed, left if left). While you are going to one knee, place the pistol in the crook of the knee. grab your spare magazine, insert it in the gun, grab the gun,release the slide and you are back in play. It is pretty fast once you get the hang of it.

<br>Place the spring plug(1911) on the lip of the holster,belt,knee,bootheel,Morons nose etc. and punch through.
<br>Required in qual. for the USMC "Grad course" for Security force and F.A.S.T. Marines.
<br>Of course it dosn't work with a guide rod,and the rear sight gets the nod.

<br>For one handed reloads,just grasp the trouser belt and heave the holster towards the belt buckle.Place the pistol in the holster,insert fresh mag,remove and release the slide or rack off of the afore mentioned surface.
