Where would you go to for a 336 replacement stock?

After over 20 years of hunting with his 336 my dad bought a .270 last year. I'd like to sneak the old .30-30 out of the cabinet next year and pretty it up for him. Reblueing and a new wood stock. I'd like to find something nicer than the factory wood to use.

Any suggestions?

These guys have duplicated a bunch of 99 stocks, you may want to contact them. http://www.bosesofnebraska.com/gunstocks.html

Thanks guys. Googling revealed some options, but I figured y'all could give me a heads up on any bad experiences you've had.

I just have to ask - do you think your dad wants it reblued and restocked or is he the kind of guy that every dent, ding, and scratch reminds him of a moment in time? Nothing wrong with a well hunted gun. If it's something he'd like, then go for it.

Honestly he couldn't care less how the gun looks, but the gesture would me a lot to him.

If he wouldn't want me to do it, I wouldn't...
