If any of you are wanting a very nice one in what looks like all original form here it is: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=204732797I talked to the guy and he says it is a shooter. It has the original front (with hood) and rear sights also. These are a little on the heavy side, but sure are sleepers.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I have had three of them, a 303, 30-06 and a 270. The 270 became my first 270 Wby. Had Bevan King do the work, and it turned out just fine.
They are nice rifles, but a bit heavy.

Do any of the BSA's have the "duck pond" on the rear bridge, like the Winchester and Eddystone 1917's? Did Pattern 14's have that?
Eventually, I'll find a BSA for my oldest son, as that is his initials. There are a few BSA bolt rifles, but I really want a single shot Martini for him.

I would think all P-14s have the duck pond, part of the way through the M-17 production it was shown the receiver woundn't warp during heat treatment without the duck pond.I changed the rear sight on my P-14 to a Parker-Hale and now get to look at the hole.
