I have a Marlin 1895G in 45-70 with the XS Scout scope mount and Burris QD rings. Didn't notice when I mounted them that it has a small recoil lug on the rings, and from the recoil that small shoulder is loosening up the rings and tearing up the mount. Anyone have any experience with some other QD rings that hold p to recoil?

I'm using Leupold QRW rings with my 1895SBL with NCStar scout scope. Only got 100 rounds through it so far, but it hasn't moved a bit. I'm firing 400 grain Speers at 1900 FPS, kind of amazed the scope has held up for $40.
I have the rings spaced so that the forward one's lug is pushed all the way forward against the rail's lug, and the rear one all the way back in it's slot. That way it's secured against movement in either direction, and if I remove the scope and reinstall it it's definitely in the same spot as before. Try this if you haven't already.
If 2nd amendment rights can be subject to licensing and fees, how was the poll tax unconstitutional?

That rear ring is getting zero recoil. I'd push 'em both forward. The Leupy QRW's are pig heavy but they have a square recoil lug that shouldn't peen the aluminum mount.
