I am a 1911 addict, currently have 7 in the safe from milspec colts, to kimber upper end wares and even a Springer TRP. I also have a full on les baer. As matter of course I shoot 250 rds for break in. Don't know that they needed it, its just my way and what works for me.
Of all of them my Les Baer is my favorite. It's the Comanchee Monolith. All steel commander length with a full length dust cover, adjustable trijicons and the 1.5" guarantee. It was TIGHT out of the box and still is at approx 1700 rds. It's all hand fitted and the bushing will not come out of the gun with finger pressure alone. It too has never shown a sign of hiccuping.
It's stupid accurate and likely a better shooter then I am. Noone who has shot it has never not been impressed with the quality of work or with the targets it shoots if the operator is capable. I didn't necessarily feel a need for it, but wanted it and feel its well worth the price of admission.
