I have for sale my brother's Belgian-made Browning Hi-Power in 9mm Parabellum. The serial number is 69Cxxxx. It has a hole in the hammer which he told me is more valuable. Overall the gun is in pretty darned nice condition -- no rust, major scratches or dings in the metal; a couple of minor dings in the wood grips. The bore looks bright and shiney. It comes with three clips, rubber grips and a leather holster. I wish I could afford it because it is pretty sweet looking. If you are interested and want more photos, I can take close-ups for you.

Do some more resurch , your off on the price and almost all have the hole in the hammer, Or put it on Gunbroker.

hi powers are excellent shooters.
better than the plastic other 9er's.
a belguim/belguim is more valuable than the "assembled in"
models. you still might check out GB for a closer value.

As much as I would like you to reduce your price - it's fine just where it is (a good deal even). The buyer you're looking for would just have to know a thing or two about Hi-Powers.

I figure it is worth exactly what someone is willing to offer and what you are willing to accept - whether $1150, $115, or $1.15. If some people don't like your price - too bad. The next guy may think it is a bargain.

The T-series (64ish to mid 70s) have the ring hammer and are the most collectible as they are all Belgian. If you take off the grips and the backs are red, and the inside padding of the black leather Browning case is red, that add even more value. Condition is everything and $1000 is not out of the ballpark.

The MKIIs and IIIs are later models made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal -- and have the spur hammer.

Thanks for the info -- I just popped out the mag and looked -- the grips are red on the indside. He does not have the original black leather Browning case.

T-Series ran 1964-1969. This pistol is an early C-Series from 1969 (69Cxxxx). It's identical to the T-Series in terms of fit and finish. FN/Browning started transitioning to the spur hammer in 1973 so there are C-Series pistols that do have the spur hammer, but this pistol isn't one of them.

You're right, T-Series are the most sought after, but early C-Series are only a half-step behind and there isn't a C-Series any earlier than 1969. They're the same pistol without the "T" jumping out from the serial number.

I thought I was straight to the point and polite .I did not say he was wrong. In some pm's he admited he did not know about this pistol.I am a collector , but no expert I paid $650 for the Last T model In the Box. he will sell this . I don't care that much for Gun Broker -- too impersonal. I like you guys here a lot better -- I enjoy the banter, advice and debate. If she sells, great; if not, no big deal. I'll wait until 2012 when Conservatives rule the land again and we're all back in Eutopia. Unless of course, the world ends as predicted by the Mayan Calendar -- heck, then I guess it won't matter at all!

Hey Blaserman, If you obtained a T series Hi-Power in the box for $650 you didn't buy it you stole it! I've bought a few new and LNIB T series Brownings in the black pouch before but never one in the box. Great find!
