Hi All - I recently acquired one of these excellent little rifles. While it doesn't shoot any ammo I've tried into one hole, it shoots most everything pretty darn well (1/2-3/4" 5-shot groups at 50yds). I've so far, been unable to find an owner's manual for it. Anyone on the forum have one that I could pay to have copied, or perhaps know where one might be obtained? Any assistance or advice appreciated. Regards,

Gentleman named George Foster in NY has very kindly offered to copy his manual and send to me. Shooters on the web are absolutely great. Thanks all.

Glad someone came through, wish my M320 manual hadn't gotten away from me many years ago. Hats off to George.

Thanks for the generous offer, George. I have sent you a PM with the requested info. I would happily reimburse you for the expense and your trouble.
These are nifty rifles, only wish I had bought a few more back when mine was new and selling for $60.

dubePA,
I replied to your PM. I bought mine in '73 and also wish that I had bought more. Did you ever see one of the 325s in 22 magnum?

Nope, never saw the M325 and have only ever seen one M310 for sale. Somewhere in my treasury of useless junk I have a catalogue from one of the old gunshops in my area. I know it listed the M310 and M320, and think it also lists the M325.
Most of the long guns in the catalogue are pictured in the description of each one. I think it includes prices, haven't looked at it in years. Makes me weep too much to look at it now. The catalogue is either from '72 or '73.

George, I found the old catalogue from '71/'72. It was compiled by Napco Graphics and is 249 pages in length. Boy does it make for interesting reading now. The M320 sold for $57.50; the M310 for $44.95 and the M325 for $62.50.
The sheer number of items is amazing, as it lists hundreds of firearms (most are pictured) and a complete section of reloading equipment and components. IMR powders for $3.70 a lb. M700 Remington BDL's for $169.
This was obviously made available for distribution to small shops by the publisher, since the shop it came from was local, but the catalogue is published in WI.

What struck me is that on average, rifles have slightly more than doubled in price since then, and so have bullets, but powders have tripled in price. Leupold VariX-II in 3x9x40 is $99. The most expensive scope in there is a Unertl 20X target at $168.
Not a bad thing to realize that much of what we think is overpriced today, has merely doubled (or a bit more), in price in the past 30 years, while most of our wages have likely increased 8 or 10 fold since then. I think my wages were about $4.50 an hour back then.

I would also like to publicly thank George for supplying me with a copy of the M320 manual. Now I need to find a Model 5 Savage 22 rifle, like the very first new rifle I ever bought, back in the 50's. Swapped it on something else in the mid-sixties and wish I would've kept it.
