I just picked up a NIB 444P with above average wood. Wasn't really looking for one, but there it was for what I think is a good price. I couldn't pass it up! grin

Any guesses on what it's worth?

using GB as a guide i would say you would be able to get $600-700 out of it on a good day. these things are funny though. right buyer(s) could drive it up. or it could go for less. hows that for a non-answer?

Thanks!

Probably put a peep on it, but also considering a scout scope. I've never had a scope scope before, so I'm concerned with how it changes the balance.

550 is about the going price on these. I've seen them for $400 to $600, with $600 being new in the box and I didn't see any buyers for it.
They are great guns with a 1:20 twist rate instead of the stupid 1:38 twist.
Here is a link to a great article about the 444 Outfitter.
