Lets see when I was just a wee tyke my older sister had a box turtle, seem that I got my grubby little hands on the turtle an proceeded to bite its head off. The kicker was that when I was caught I was trying to put the little critters head back on. This could have been about the time my sister started saying she was an only child.

Bullwnkl.

BCR,
I,m not an expert in soft shell turtles. In my younger days we'd snag a snappin' turtle in the sein once in a while. I tried dressing a big old 25 pounder once and decided then that I knew all I was ever going to know about turtle cleaning. What a chore!! As I recall that project turned into a half a day. Plus, my mom didn't want that "damn thing" in her house!!
So, to answer your question......
1) with a high pressure hose and mild detergent?

or

2) I give up......How do you clean a soft shell turtle??

I thought no one would ever ask!
To clean a soft shell turtle you raise his tail and wipe his butt.
BCR

With soft-shell crabs you just eat them whole... might not be a bad idea to clean 'em Boggy style first.
art
Mark Begich, Joaquin Jackson, and Heller resistance... Three huge reasons to worry about the NRA.
