I have a Canon EOS Rebel 2000 with an EF 28-80 and EF 75-300 lenses that have been sitting on a shelf for a couple of years.
Is there anyone that could use these? Collectors, students, or ?? I hate for this stuff to just sit there, but no one I know still uses film. Any ideas?
Thanks for any ideas/suggestions given.

Sorry, but at this point, it may make a good paper weight. I just sold about $4500 worth of 35mm and 6x45 cameras and lens. I got $400 for it. It was all like new and had boxes, etc. A shame, but that's all they'd give me for it.

the lenses will still fetch market value.
the body? you'll take a hit on that.
I still shoot some B&W 35mm film, as digital printing still can't quite match real silver halide paper.
If there's a local college class that teaches dark room stuff, they'd likely be interested in it.

I have a pretty good Pentax with manual everything that'll likely never be used again.

Find a college in your area that offers Photography classes. They will be thrilled to have it

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the input. A friend told me that her daughter still uses a 35mm so I will see what she says. If she doesn't want it I will check out the nearest college, a great idea by the way.
Thanks again, Chris

Last time I looked, film was still being made. Nothing digital will duplicate silver B&W film PERIOD!
Can't buy factory ammo for several of my rifles but they still go shooting.

A couple of years ago we sold our entire darkroom, with a stainless sink and a bunch of film gear to a kid from the local college for $75. To see the excitement on his face, it would have been worth it for free. Plus it cleared a room in the basement.
Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.
