fellas-
i occasionally get a failure to extract w/ factory ammo (incidentally, never had any failure w/ handloads). i think i should replace the extractor on my gun.

what is/who has the best extractor available?

Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It is much more important than that.

big time,

Gotta ask some particulars.

16" or 20" Carbine?
(Guessing and assuming you don't have a NFA 10,11 or 14.5" Carbine)

Chrome or non-chrome chamber?

Extractor spring and bumper/"Smurf"?

How much use or tension has the extractorextractor spring been subject to?

And finally who made the thing.......

Before we get into gas port dimensions, and a discussion on extractor bounce and cyclic rate.....

Whaddya got,how much has it been used, andwhat are ya feeding the thing?

(The mention of handloads being reliable alludes to several things.)

It ain't always the extractor.
Though they are often blamed for other oversights.

Best?

Mil contract.

Tryin to help but ya don't make it easy!!!!;)

Gimme the scoop and I'll chance a guess.
